<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nondestructive inspection method and a nondestructive inspection apparatus for efficiently inspecting a large inspected object even if a thermal insulation material is provided. <P>SOLUTION: An X-ray generator 30 for irradiation with X rays and an X-ray detection sensor 40 for detecting the X rays transmitted through the inspected object 20 are oppositely and independently disposed through the inspected object 20. Alternatively, a radiation generator for irradiation and a radiation detection apparatus for detecting the radiation transmitted through the inspected object are oppositely and independently disposed through the inspected object. The inspected object 20 is inspected while the X-ray generator 30 or the radiation generator is moved by a first movement mechanism 34 and the X-ray detection sensor 40 or the radiation detection apparatus is moved by second movement mechanisms 42, 45 in synchronization with the X-ray generator 30 or the radiation generator. The inspected object 20 can be continuously inspected without peeling the thermal insulation material 22 even if a surface of the inspected object 20 is covered with the thermal insulation material 22. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
