PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a metal plate coated with Cr-free pigment and containing no blister in its coating, having an excellent corrosion resistance and an excellent workability, even if the coating is a polyester resin film containing an epoxy resin mixed therein for obtaining improved adhesion. SOLUTION: The coated metal plate is produced by forming on the surfaces of a substrate and a metal plate an undercoat formed by mixing into 100 parts by mass of polyester resin, 5-50 parts by mass of bisphenol type epoxy-resin, 5-100 parts by mass of calcium silicate. The bisphenol type epoxy resin contains more ring-opened hydroxy groups than novolak-type epoxy resin, and is capable of improving an adhesion of the coating by concentration on the interface between the substrate and the coating, and inhibiting coating blister caused by permeated moisture.
