PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vibration cone for a speaker being employed in a variety of sound equipment and suitable for a speaker of high sound quality, and to provide a speaker employing it. SOLUTION: An edge 4b is molded integrally with vibration cone body 4a using an edge material of foamed plastic having a softening point lower than that of synthetic resin constituting the vibration cone body 4a. Consequently, a vibration cone 4 for a speaker having a stabilized quality is obtained with extremely high productivity, and a speaker having a high sound quality, a low distortion and a high resistance against input is provided.
