PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transmission technique for compressing streaming information according to communication environment such as a communication means and a communication speed for transmission processing of streaming information. SOLUTION: A transmission device 100 obtains terminal attribute information regarding a terminal 300 from the terminal 300 using streaming information, determines a transmission speed that the terminal 300 can use on the basis of the terminal attribute information, determines a compression method for compressing the streaming information on the basis of the transmission speed, and instructs the terminal 300 to compress the streaming information by the compressing method.
