PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric controller which is reduced in thickness and size by preventing the thickness of a heat sink from increasing. SOLUTION: The electric controller comprises a control board 3, a heat sink 2, a heating element 1 sandwiched between the control board 3 and the heat sink 2, and screws 4, and polygonal nuts 5 for securing the heating element 1 between the control board 3 and the heat sink 2. The heat sink 2, the heating element 1, and the control board 3 are provided with through holes 2-1, 1-1 and 3-1, respectively, on the same axis, the through hole 3-1 of the control board 3 has the substantially same shape as that of the polygonal nut 5, the heating element 1 is secured by means of the screws 4 from the heat sink 2 side through respective through holes and secured by placing the polygonal nuts 5 in the through holes of the control board 3. Since the heating element is utilized as a lock when the screw is fastened and a flat bolt having a flat head is employed, thickness of the heat sink is not increased.
