PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique having high possibility of general use which exhibits good junction reliability and good workability in joining, in a junction structure and a joining method wherein a flexible printed circuit board for automobiles or the like is joined to a terminal. SOLUTION: Through holes 1a, 5a are formed in an FPC 1 and an electrode terminal 5, respectively, at a land 2. The shank 6b of a rivet 6 is inserted into a hole formed by superposing the through holes 1a, 5a of the respective FPC 1 and the electrode terminal 5 at the land 2. Tips of the inserted shank 6b of the rivet 6 are crimped to clamp the FPC 1 and the electrode terminal 5 at the land 2 for joining. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
