PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve convenience in document information management and document retrieval, to improve the operability of the retrieval by a keyword, and to further improve workability when performing the retrieval. SOLUTION: This document information management device for managing document information has: an extraction means for extracting a word designated by a cursor on a screen as the keyword; a transfer means for transferring the extracted word to a search engine; and a reception means for receiving a retrieval result corresponding to the keyword from search engine.
