PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat exchanger capable of closely fitting a tube 1 to the tube insert hole 2 of a tube plate 3 by uniformly extending the end part of the tube and the inside surface of the tube insert hole 2 in a heat exchanger having a front surface formed in a reversed trapezoidal shape. SOLUTION: In the heat exchanger in which the whole flat surface of the tube plate 3 is arranged without crossing the longitudinal axis of the tube 1 at right angles but with an inclination thereto, the edge part 2a of each tube insert hole 2 of the tube plate 2 is plastically deformed so that the flat surface formed by the hole edge part 2a is orthogonal to the axis of the tube 1.
