PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve grounding structure of an ignition transformer to realize size reduction of a tool, area saving therefor, reduction of a tool cost and an attaching cost, and the like, in an electric discharge ignitor for the combustion tool. SOLUTION: A high-voltage generator 2 has the ignition transformer 12 for stepping up an electric power source voltage to a prescribed high voltage. An electric power source terminal 22 connected to a primary coil of the transformer 12 and a grounding terminal 23 connected to a secondary coil are arranged on the same plane 21 of an outer casing 11. The power source terminal 22 and the grounding terminal 23 are installed, for example, as a three-terminal type connector 24 in the outer casing 11. An output terminal 26 connected to the secondary coil of the transformer 12 is connected electrically to a discharge terminal 31 of the ingition transformer 12.
