PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive and economical manufacturing device for a molded chunk of ice suiting mass production with a simple composition, easy handling, and high safety, capable of easily and quickly manufacturing a molded chunk of ice of a predetermined shape, efficiently manufacturing a multiplicity of molded chunks of ice, easily and quickly recovering a lowered temperature of a cutting die, positively maintaining a temperature difference of a raw chunk of ice and the cutting die, and consecutively carrying out manufacturing work of molded chunks of ice. SOLUTION: The manufacturing device for molded chunks of ice is provided with the cutting die A forming by a material with high heat conductivity. It is composed so that a plurality of mold holes 1 and heat exchange passages 2 and 10 are provided in the cutting die A, a raw chunk of ice can be set in a predetermined position, the cutting die A contacts one end of the set raw chunk of ice, a portion of the raw chunk of ice contacting the cutting die A is melted by the temperature difference of the raw chunk of ice and the cutting die A and a movement pressure of the cutting die A to another side of the raw chunk of ice, and a plurality of molded chunks of ice of the predetermined shape passing the mold holes 1 can be molded.
