PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a toroidal type continuously variable transmission capable of performing stable speed-change control. SOLUTION: This transmission comprises an input shaft 4, input side disks 10A and 10B and output side disks 12A and 12B, power rollers 14A and 14B, and an output gear 41 integrally rotating with the output side disks 12A and 12B. The output gear 41 comprises a gear part 43 formed of helical gears disposed on the outer face sides of the output side disks 12A and 12B, and a cylindrical sleeve 45 inserted into through holes 31 and 33 in the output side disks 12A and 12B and joined to the output side disks 12A and 12B, and allowing an input shaft 4 to pass therein. Needle bearings 55 and 57 rotatably supporting the input shaft 4 are installed between the sleeve 45 and the input shaft 4 of the output gear 41. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
