<p>A light assembly comprising a light-emitting diode (LED) (3), a rechargeable capacitor (1) to energize the diode (3), and a solar cell (2) to recharge the capacitor (1). There is circuitry (4) to enable recharging of the capacitor (1) and to enable the LED (3) to flash for several hours after solar illumination has ceased. Preferably, there is circuitry to enable use of the solar cell as a photosensor to selectively energize the LED when the ambient light is below a pre-determined level.</p> |
