<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a commodity recommendation system by face recognition which is effective and has high convenience to a purchaser who repeatedly purchases the same commodities and takes almost the same action patterns. <P>SOLUTION: An imaging means 1 picks up an image of the face of a prospective purchaser of the commodity and a face recognition means 2 identifies a purchaser.
