PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steering control device for a vehicle capable of preventing occurrence of a sense of incongruity caused by repetition of large corrected steering in a low speed area. SOLUTION: This steering control device for a vehicle to travel the vehicle along a standard route by computing steering quantity in accordance with lateral deviation with the standard route at the time of the vehicle passing at a front observing point lowers steering sensitivity in the low speed area where car velocity is lower than a set car speed by providing a steering sensitivity setting means to set the steering sensitivity against an error in computing an operation quantity in accordance with the lateral deviation by detecting the lateral deviation against the standard route at the set front observing point.
