PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital camera system wherein an interchangeable lens can be replaced between camera bodies whose pixel pitches differ from each other without causing field curvature aberration. SOLUTION: The digital camera system consists of: a digital cameras 1 including an interchangeable lens barrel 12 and a camera body 11A to which the interchangeable lens barrel 12 can be mounted; and a digital camera 2 including the interchangeable lens barrel 12 and a camera body 11B to which the interchangeable lens barrel 12 can be mounted, the specifications of the interchangeable lens barrel 12 of the digital camera 1 being equal to those of the interchangeable lens barrel 12 of the digital camera 2, and the camera body 11A incorporates an imaging element 5A with a reference pixel pitch and an optical LPF (low pass filter) 8A. The camera body 11B incorporates an imaging element 5B with a pixel pitch different from the reference pixel pitch, an optical LPF 8B, and a compensation optical system 9. The compensation optical system 9 is made of a glass plate having no double refraction characteristic to compensate a change in an optical path length due to the thickness of the optical LPF 8B made thinner than the thickness of the optical LPF 8A.
