PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a length measuring apparatus capable of inexpensively manufacturing sliders by reducing the number of manufacturing man-hours. SOLUTION: Since a steel sheet is press-molded to form a part to be in sliding contact with a corner part of a main scale 2 by bending in a slider main body 100 of a slider 10 in a height gage 1, processes of cutting, boring, grinding are performed by a series of press molding to easily manufacture the slider main body 100, and labor and time for manufacturing are reduced, and production costs are substantially reduced.
