PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a speed detector capable of precisely detecting a ground speed even in a road having a depth of water, a speed detection wheel, and a vehicle equipped with the same. SOLUTION: In the speed detector 3 equipped with the speed detection wheel 4 for detecting the ground speed, an auxiliary wheel 5 is provided in front of the speed detection wheel 4. In traveling on a wet road having the depth of water, the auxiliary wheel 5 cuts the water film of the road surface on which the speed detection wheel 4 travels so that the depth of water is shallowed, and the occurrence of a hydroplaning phenomenon on the speed detection wheel 4 is prevented.
