PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a converter for physical quantity detection to actualize miniaturization, sensitivity increase, cost reduction, and linearity improvement. SOLUTION: A load converter 5 has a basic structure formed out of a high-rigidity load import part 6 presenting a columnar shape, a load support part 7 surrounding the import part 6 with a fixed interval kept therefrom, and a strain part 8 with its inner and outer ends integrally linked to the import part 6 and to the support part 7, respectively. A recessed part 9 of a prescribed depth is formed on the side of the import part 6 opposite to its side impressed with a load.
