<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve problems that a conventional color management system itself is large in scale and has the possibility that an originally desired result can not be obtained unless a skilled user properly uses the system and a user needs to measure and correct color information and so on to realize a specified print image by a different printer. <P>SOLUTION: A printing program which generates print information converts color reproducing data reproducing the color tone characteristic of a different kind of printer from a printer in use and the color tone according to the color tone reproducing data. The color tone reproducing data are data generated by converting color tones obtained by dividing signal values of an RGB (Red, Green, and Blue) signal and when the respective signal values of the RGB signal each consist of 8 bits, only values obtained by dividing 257 gradations by 17, 9, and 5 are held; when an input value corresponds to none of the divided values, an output value is assumed by using an interpolating operation etc., to decrease the amount of information of the color tone reproducing data and also reduce the colorimetric operation in the color tone reproducing data generation. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
