<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a packaging container, which enables the lid and body to be fitted together easily when the container is closed and to be separated easily when the container is opened, and which hardly opens automatically when receiving an external impact or the like. <P>SOLUTION: When the lid 14 of the container is moved to a position where the lid covers the container body 12, a hinge 13 is folded back accurately at pre-folded parts 13A, 13B, which allows a fitting projection 14a on the lid 14 to be moved accurately to the position where the projection is opposite to a fitting recession 12d on the container body 12, that is, the position where the projection 14a can be fitted into the recession 12d. This makes it easy to fit the lid 14 into the container body 12. Besides, when the lid 14 is moved to cover the container body 12, a flange 14b of the lid 14 is fitted into a stepped part 12c of the container body 12, where the flange is not exposed to the outside.
