<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical disk device which can be miniaturized and, in particular, whose weight can be reduced. <P>SOLUTION: The device comprises a frame, a shaft fixed to the frame, a carriage freely movably fixed to the shaft, an optical pickup constituted at the carriage, a driving means for driving the carriage, a rotating means rotating a disk fixed to the frame, and a circuit substrate in which a control circuit fixed to the frame is formed.
