PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To precisely evaluate the strength of a panel including a spot welded section while securing analysis precision and simplifying analysis models. SOLUTION: In the method for evaluating the strength of the welded section, based on the stress value of the welded part by dividing the panel into a plurality of elements and calculating the stress value of the welded section of the panel by a stress analysis using a finite element method with each divided unit as a unit, the center section of spot welding is allowed to agree with the node of elements near spot welding, elements are divided into a plurality of concentric ring-like elements including a center element 40 and first, second, and third ring-like elements 41-43 with the center section as a center, the concentric ring elements are divided into a plurality of portions in every peripheral direction to compose elements, and the stress value is calculated by a P method finite element method using a high-order coordinates function for an outermost split ring-like element 44.
