PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a domestic refrigerator provided with an ice making device capable of eliminating defective ice, capable of dispensing with a mechanism for treating cloudy ice melting water, and capable of making ice of high transparency by inexpensive constitutive members, and to provide the device and a method reduced in energy for making easily the transparent ice. SOLUTION: This ice making device is mounted with an ice making pan provided with a plurality of ice generating parts, in every ice making block of the single-structured ice making pan partitioned into the plurality of ice making blocks to store water and to make the ice.
