PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of and a device for winding the wire terminal portion of formed bead by which a winding operation can be performed in such a state that tension is applied to a string to the end in a single process without retooling even for different bead inner diameters. SOLUTION: This wire terminal portion-winding device is provided with: an adhesive application means 4 which is located between a rolled string-unwinding apparatus 1 and a winding ring 3 of the winding device 2 and directly applies, by dipping, a liquid adhesive Q to a binding string W unwound from the rolled string-unwinding apparatus 1; the squeeze rolls 5a and 5b for squeezing surplus adhesive Q from the binding string W; and a string supply means 6 freely advancing or retreating for carrying the tip of the adhesive applied string W while holding to the clamping position of the winding ring 3. A tank 4a storing the adhesive Q for the application means 4 is installed near the unwinding apparatus 1, and has the squeeze rolls 5a and 5b. Accordingly, the wire terminal portion-winding device is constituted so that the binding string W is directly supplied to the string supply means 6 through the adhesive application means 4 and the squeeze rolls.
