PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the cost and simplify the constitution by dispensing with the preparation of a separate storing means when storing map data after updated, and largely reducing a storage capacity. SOLUTION: This terminal device includes: a transmitting-receiving means 12 for receiving updated information showing updated contents of exterior and map data, and transmitting-receiving various pieces of information; a storing means 13 for storing the updated information from the transmitting-receiving means 12; a map data processing means 14 for indicating a specific part of the map data needed to be read when performing navigation processing based on the location of a vehicle and the map data stored in a storing means 11; a storing means 15 for temporarily storing the map data read according to the information of the specified part indicated by the processing means 14; and an updating means 16 which updates the map data stored in the storing means 15 according to updated information when such updated information to be updated is contained in the map information stored in the storing means 15, referring to the updated information stored in the storing means 13.
