PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to pool polarizing plates without substantially applying stress to a liquid crystal cell at the time of rework operation by sticking the polarizing plates coated with a tacky adhesive having characteristics to lose adhesive power by reacting to irradiation with electron beams or UV to the liquid crystal cell. SOLUTION: The polarizing plates coated with a tacky adhesive 2a having the characteristics to lose the adhesive power by reacting to the irradiation with the electron beams or UV are stuck to the liquid crystal cell. For example, in the case of the rework of the upper polarizing plate 1, the upper polarizing plate 1 is irradiated with the electron beam from its surface to bring the tacky adhesive 2a into reaction. The adhesive power at the boundary A between the upper polarizing plate 1 and the tacky adhesives 2A and the boundary B between the tacky adhesives 2a and the upper substrate 4 is lost. In this case, the compsn. of the tacky adhesives 2a is designed in such a manner that the adhesive power of the tacky adhesives 2a, the upper polarizing plate 1 and the substrate 4 attains <=10g/cm, by which the simple peeling of the upper polarizing plate 1 is made possible even if the liquid crystal is not strongly pressed. |
