PURPOSE: A clamping device and method for a heat exchanger and the heat exchanger utilizing the clamping device and method are provided to enhance the durability of clamping parts of a header and a tank and to reduce the manufacturing cost by simplifying a clamping process. CONSTITUTION: A clamping device for a heat exchanger(100) comprises a base(200) supporting the heat exchanger having a tank(120) temporarily assembled on a header(110) with a clamping part(111); a pressing block(300) giving press to the upper part of the tank to make the header and the tank closely adhered; a clamping unit(400) clamping the header and the tank by partially changing the clamping part to enable the clamping part of the header to have a wave shape in the longitudinal direction by alternating deformation and non-deformation to the inside of the header; and a deformation-preventing unit preventing deformation of a non-deformation part of the clamping part.
