<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the signal processing means whose image quality is not deteriorated even with dubbing processing. SOLUTION: Reproduced compressed image data are restored into an original digital image signal by a bit reduction decoder 24 and processed to be a data stream in compliance with the interface standards by a formatter 27, then the digital image signal in compliance with the interface standards is obtained at a terminal 29. In addition to above, compressed image data separately reproduced are given to a data stream conversion circuit 40, from which the converted data stream in compliance with the interface standards are outputted from a terminal 47 as a compressed transmission signal. The signal is used for a dubbing signal. The signal is fed to a data stream inverse conversion circuit 50 via a terminal 51, and recorded as the compressed image data with the same output form as those from an encoder 14. Since data compression and expansion processing is not conducted, the image quality is not deteriorated even when dubbing is repeated.</p> |
