<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To normalize the signal writing to pixels without increasing the field through voltage. SOLUTION: This panel has many cross arranged gate bus lines 21, many data bus lines and the pixels are placed at each cross point of the gate bus lines and the data bus lines. At each pixel, a gate electrode of a TFT(a thin film transistor) is connected to the gate bus line, a drain electrode is connected to the data bus line and source electrode is connected to the pixel electrode. The size of each TFT connected to the gate bus lines is increased as the TFTs approach to the end of the lines. Thus, the driving performance of the TFTs is increased, the writing speed to the pixels in the vicinity of the end of the gate bus line is increased, the increase in the per line capacitance between the gate and the source is suppressed and also the problem associated with the increase in the field through voltage is eliminated.</p> |
