PURPOSE: An image display apparatus having an embedded sensing function and an operating method thereof are provided to sense humidity, temperature and dust state at the circumference and to display the sensed data, thereby enabling a user to recognize the sensed data. CONSTITUTION: A microprocessor(10) controls operations of elements in the image display apparatus. A sensor member(20) includes at least one sensor among a temperature sensor, a humidity sensor and a dust sensor and at least one A/D(Analog/Digital) converter for receiving an analog sensing signal relating to volume of temperature, humidity or dust outputted from the sensor, changing the received signal into a digital sensing signal and outputting the digital sensing signal to the microprocessor. A memory member(17) stores seasonal reference level values of temperature, humidity and dust. An OSD(On Screen Display) producing member(14) responds to a control signal transmitted from the microprocessor and displays the state of temperature, humidity or dust sensed by the sensing member. |
