Method for packing an electric lamp

An inner part (1) made of a dimensionally stable plastic material forms a holder for a lamp to be packaged. The holder shape is matched to that of the lamp (2) to ensure a positive hold on the latter. Positive holding of the lamp (2) is effective around not less than50% of its outer surface. The holder has an opening of restricted dimensions compared to the lamp, to aid removal of the latter from the inner part (1). The complete packaging comprises a rectangular folding box in which the inner is positioned diagonally inside it. An independent claim is included for a process for packaging a lamp in which the lamp is used to form the holding recess.
