Lockable drive system for earthmoving vehicle

The drive system has a hydraulic motor (40) that drives elements in contact with the ground, esp. wheels (14) or tracks, to propel the vehicle via a gearbox (30) with a neutral setting and a gear changing device. The hydraulic motor is suitable for acting on the ground contact elements as a brake. A blocking device stops the gear-changing device if the vehicle is not stationary.
