Animal lead comprises a lead (14) made of flexible material and connected to a hook for attaching to a collar or a harness. A protective sleeve (20) made of soft material surrounds the hook, especially to prevent personal injury caused by the end (16) of the lead attached to the hook or by hard collision with objects.
