PURPOSE: A structure for mounting an oil pump of an automatic transmission is provided to minimize leak of oil, and to improve power and shifting control by absorbing axial clearance actively between the torque converter and the oil pump. CONSTITUTION: A key groove(14a) is formed in an impeller shell of a torque converter, ad a key(22a) of a drive gear(22) of an oil pump is inserted to the key groove in an automatic transmission. A plug member(26) is installed in the key groove, elastically supported by an elastic member(24) and contacted to the key. The curvature of the plug member is equal to the curvature of the key groove, and the width of the plug member is equal to the width of the key groove. A fitting part(14c) is formed downward from a lower part(14b) in the key groove to install the plug member. |
