摘要 PURPOSE: A friction material is provided to prevent wear and improve abrasion resistance by manufacturing the friction material for a disk pad, brake lining or clutch facing with mixing and hardening tin, tin alloy and tin compound. CONSTITUTION: A friction material is composed of fiber base material, a bonding agent and filler. Three kinds of materials having different melting points are selected from tin, tin alloy and tin compound, and the friction material is formed by mixing tin, tin alloy and tin compound of 5.5 to 17.5 vol%. The friction material includes bronze fiber of 4 to 10 vol%, tin sulfide of 0.5 to 2.5 vol% and tin powder of 1 to 5 vol%. The bronze fiber is manufactured by using the chatter vibration cutting method.
