PURPOSE: A method and apparatus for removing a film of a glass substrate is provided to easily and completely remove the film from the glass substrate by removing the film from the front of the glass substrate in the conveying direction previously, thereby preventing inferiority from being generated. CONSTITUTION: A method for removing a film of a glass substrate comprises the steps of : conveying the glass substrate for film removing process(S20); previously removing the film on a front of the glass substrate in the conveying direction by a friction generated from a contact of the front of the glass substrate and a prefilling brush loaded on the conveying path of the glass substrate before entering the removing position of the film(S31); and removing entirely removing the film of the glass substrate at the removing position of the film(S50).
