FRONT FILTER OF PLASMA DISPLAY PANEL AND METHOD FOR FABRICATING THE SAME FOR SIMPLIFYING FABRICATING PROCESS OF THE FRONT FILTER

PURPOSE: A front filter of a PDP(Plasma Display Panel) and a method for fabricating the front filter are provided to control a cutting direction of a mesh film to obtain a bias angle to accomplish the mesh film using the same photo-mask irrespective of resolution of the PDP, thereby simplifying the fabricating process of the front filter. CONSTITUTION: A front filter(100) of a PDP(104) includes an electromagnetic wave shielding film(84) that shields electromagnetic waves and has a mesh film. The mesh film obtains a bias angle according to its cutting direction. The cutting direction depends on the resolution of the PDP. The front filter includes the first anti-reflection layer(80) for preventing reflection of external light, and a near infrared shielding layer(86) for shielding near infrared rays. The front filter further includes a glass substrate(82) formed between the first anti-reflection layer and the electromagnetic shielding film, and the second anti-reflection layer(90) formed between an upper substrate(60) of the PDP and the near infrared shielding layer.
