PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent toner blocking in a paper discharging part or a double- surface stacking part and an increase in the temperature of a photosensitive body by spraying cooling gas to a paper sheet where a formed image is thermal- fixed and absorbing heat from the paper sheet by its expansion action. SOLUTION: A cooling system 7 for cooling a sheet material P where an image is formed and thermal-fixed is provided in the downstream side of a fixing part 3 in a paper sheet carrying direction. The cooling system 7 comprises a container 7a, in which a gas coolant of normal temperature and pressure is sealed by high pressure, and a plurality of coolant jetting-out ports 7b. The coolant jetting-out ports 7b are uniformly distributed in a direction orthogonal to the carrying direction of the sheet material P and along the lower surface of the same. By spraying coolants from the jetting-out ports 7b to the sheet material P passed through the fixing part 3 and heated to a high temperature, the full surface of the sheet material P is uniformly, evenly and efficiently cooled. |
