PURPOSE:To easily perform high-speed switching of a semiconductor laser by eliminating the discharging control of a discharging capacitor and the inputting of a charging control prohibit signal. CONSTITUTION:The discharging control of a charging capacitor 1 is eliminated, a lighting instruction signal for instructing the lighting of a semiconductor laser 4 is monitored and that the semiconductor laser 4 is instructed to be continuously lit for over a certain period is detected by a lighting instruction signal length detector 15. Then, the inputting of a charging/discharging control prohibit signal for probibiting the operation of a charging/discharging control circuit prior to switching of the semiconductor laser needed for a conventional semiconductor laser driving device is eliminated. Thus, by keeping the illuminating light amount of the semiconductor laser almost constant high-speed switching of the semiconductor laser is easily performed. |
