A spectacles image registering system which can pick up spectacles image of a predetermined quality irrespective of time, place or operator and rapidly obtain spectacles image to be synthesized with a portrait image at a low cost. This system comprises an image pickup device (10) to pick up frontal image of spectacles, an image pickup device (100) to pick image of the spectacles from above, and a computer (200) which generates image data to be synthesized with the portrait image by image processing of the picked-up frontal image and registers it together with specifications of the spectacles. The image processing comprises spectacles outer periphery detection for detecting the outer periphery of the spectacles from a background part toward a spectacles part, and lens outer periphery detection for detecting the outer periphery of the lens from a lens part to a lens peripheral part by estimating the lens part from the detected spectacles outer periphery, and generates a frame mask image and a lens mask image to be synthesized with the portrait image. Registered data is transmitted to a spectacles sales system (300) via a network. |
