PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To avoid a condition wherein correspondence between images of an identical object can not be obtained because of distortion of the images due to the distortion of an optical system such as a lens in the case where correspondence between the images imaged by right and left video cameras in a stereo camera device is obtained. SOLUTION: The title device comprises a correction coordinate table 62 storing correction coordinates (Δx, Δy) which are formed based on distortion data of an image that is obtained when a square grating as an object to be imaged is imaged by an optical section and an imaging means in the case where an operation for obtaining correspondence between right and left images based on image data read from image memories 4R, 4L by a relative operation section 65 in a correspondence operation device 6. A reading image memory address for reading from the image memories 4R, 4L is formed by an image memory address forming section 64 in accordance with corrected coordinates (X+Δx, Y+Δy) that are obtained by correcting scan coordinates (X, Y) formed by a scan coordinate forming section 61 by means of the correction coordinates (Δx, Δy). Thereby, it is possible to avoid a condition wherein correspondence between the images can not be obtained because of distortion of images due to distortion of the optical system. |
