PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic percussion instrument device for a karaoke machine constituted to be enjoyed, even by a user who is not familiar with the music. SOLUTION: This electronic percussion instrument has a rhythm signal receiving means, which receives the rhythm signals relating to the musical pieces played by the karaoke sing-along machine, a rhythm type analyzing means which analyzes the metrum structure of the rhythm signals received by this means from the transition of these rhythm signals and identifies rhythm types, a play segment data signal receiving means which successively receives the playing segment data on the attribute segments, music tones, etc., relating to the musical pieces played by the karaoke machine, a playing pattern memory means which stores the playing pattern data of the metrum-like rhythm in correspondence to each of the respective rhythm types and the playing segment data and an automatic playing control means, which outputs the acoustic signals of the percussion instrument of the metrum-like rhythm by driving the acoustic signal generating means according to the playing pattern data corresponding to the identified rhythm types and the received playing segment data. |
