An intra-thoracic collateral ventilation bypass system is described. The system comprises at least one conduit having first and second ends, the first end being in fluid communication with an airway in proximity to a trachea of a patient and the second end being in fluid communication with the inner volume of a lung of a patient at a predetermined site. The system also comprises a first sealing device is provided for establishing an airtight seal between the conduit and the airway; and a second sealing device for establishing an airtight seal between the conduit and the lung. <IMAGE> |
