The invention relates to a fuel cell arrangement (1) comprising an essentially parallel layer arrangement (2) which is provided with a first (3a) and a second (3b) end plate and at least one intermediate plate (4, 5, 6) arranged therebetween. The end plates can be tensed by tensing means in order to compress the at least one intermediate plate. The tensing means are embodied as a winding (7) which extends around the layer arrangement (2). At least one coil of the winding is offset in relation to the main direction of extension (10) of said winding.
