PURPOSE: A method and an apparatus are provided to coat ceramics with antimicrobial silver nano particles, which can disperse the antimicrobial nano particles in the pores of the ceramics uniformly, obtain the ceramics of a uniform quality, and increase the surface strength of the ceramics. CONSTITUTION: The coating apparatus contains: a vacuum chamber(110) having a door on one side thereof and connected to a collecting tube(150c) on the bottom thereof; a vacuum device(300) connected to the collecting tube(150c) through a tube channel(320) and connected to an air compressor(310) to keep the vacuum chamber(110) vacuum; spray nozzles(220) connected to a solution storing tank(210) through solution supply pipes(200) to spray a silver water solution in the vacuum chamber(110); a plate(150) mounted in the vacuum chamber(110) and having support grooves to support the ceramics, wherein the support grooves have porous screens to adsorb the water solution. And the coating method contains the steps of: injecting the ceramics in the vacuum chamber(110) and reducing the pressure of the vacuum chamber(110) to 0.5-30 millitorr; spraying the antimicrobial water solution in the vacuum chamber(110); increasing the pressure of the vacuum chamber(110) to the atmospheric pressure after finishing the impregnation of the water solution. |
