PURPOSE: A pad for cooling a container receiving a drinking liquid and use thereof are provided to keep the container cool for a long time and to prevent dew from forming on a surface of the container. CONSTITUTION: The pad for cooling the container receiving the drinking liquid comprises a cylindrical pad(10) having an elastic inside diameter adhered closely to an outside diameter of the container. The inside diameter part contacting with the container is of fabrics absorbing a moisture. The outside diameter part caught by the hand is of waterproof fabrics. The use of the pad comprises hydrating the cylindrical pad in 20 to 30% moisture ratio, cooling it at a constant temperature and covering the container with the cooled pad.
