PURPOSE: A system and a method for extracting the traffic information by using a camera calibration are provided to extract the vehicle speed, the vehicle length and the traffic amount by analyzing the photographed moving picture. CONSTITUTION: A system for extracting the traffic information by using a camera calibration includes a camera(610), a recording device(620) and a traffic information analyzing device(630). The camera stores the traffic information in the recording media by taking photograph for the traffic situation. The recording device reproduces the image data recorded on the camera. And, the traffic information analyzing device converts the reproduced image into the moving picture file, and it extracts the vehicle speed, the vehicle length and the traffic amount by analyzing the moving picture file.
