摘要 PURPOSE: A method for manufacturing a retardation films using polarized ultraviolet is provided to control the alignment direction of liquid crystal by illuminating the polarized ultraviolet to coated liquid crystal. CONSTITUTION: An alignment film is formed on a substrate and then solidified. A liquid crystal is coated on the solidified alignment film. A polarized ultraviolet light is illuminated on the liquid crystal to adjust the alignment direction of the liquid crystal. The alignment direction of the liquid crystal is determined according to the illumination direction of the polarized ultraviolet light.
