PURPOSE: To provide a device for removing oil on the surface of strip in welding machine, which installed in a strip welding line and completely removes foreign materials such as oil remained on a welding portion of the strip before welding to improve weldability and prevent defects of the strip. CONSTITUTION: The device comprises a moving part comprising a moving part including a supporting frame(20) put on a traveling base of a strip welding machine and moved in a width direction of the strip, a driving motor installed at one side of the supporting frame, and a pinion gear installed on a rotary shaft of the driving motor and engaged with a rack formed on a lower part of the traveling base; and a flame part including an injection pipe(30) installed on a lower part of the supporting frame to inject flame onto the surface of the strip, fuel hose(31) and air hose(32) for supplying fuel and air into the injection pipe, and an ignition rod(33) and a conducting rod(34) installed at a front part of the injection pipe to generate ignition spark in air mixed fuel ejected so that flame is emitted at a welding portion of the strip.
