PURPOSE: A system and a method for managing prescriptions using a management center connected through the communication network are provided to need no input personnel and remove input error by making a pharmacy input the prescriptions through a scanner, and clearly manage responsibility for medical accidents by making the management center store prescription images transmitted from the pharmacy. CONSTITUTION: A pharmacy device(10) comprises the scanner(12) for inputting the prescription images and a pharmacy computer(14) receiving/transmitting the prescription images to a managing device(20) through the communication network(40). The managing device comprises a management server(22), a character recognizer(24), a database(26), and a data checking/correcting part(28). The management server receives the prescription images from the pharmacy computer and transmits data according to an external request by connecting to a medical care insurance public cooperation(30) or the pharmacy device. The character recognizer confirms personal information and prescription information by recognizing characters in the prescriptions. The database stores the prescription images and various kinds of information data. |
